Capsule Exit supports disadvantaged, primarily Roma young people in three locations in Hungary – Budapest, Miskolc and Gyöngyös – helping them prepare with greater confidence for further education, employment and adult life. The programme supports 14-19-year-old students in vocational education and training, with a particular focus on those at risk of dropping out of school.

Over the three-year programme, 360 students from six vocational schools will take part. Of these, 180 young people will receive weekly development sessions and individual mentoring for at least two years. The sessions focus on developing communication, cooperation, independence, responsibility, digital skills and knowledge about the world of work. Young people also work on profession-related projects and take part in digital skills assessments.

The programme also supports teachers and workplace trainers through professional training, international study visits and new, more inclusive mentoring methods. The aim is to ensure that young people receive meaningful support not only at school, but also in their practical training placements. By the end of the project, we will develop tested methods and tools that can also be used by other vocational education and training institutions.

The three-year programme is supported by the UniCredit Foundation.
